Hand Gesture For Cut Offs:
Back Home

Note from webmaster:  Fellow Knights, riders and other mere mortals I must say that since accepting the duties of webmaster it has come to my attention that there exists a virtual Black Hole on data concerning nose thumbing, well, that and a website devoted to Cole Slaw (some other time).   Thus it is that the following information is presented to insure that ALL personnel, Knights, other organizational riders and mere mortals alike understand the proper method of performing a nose thumb.  First a definition is in order...

Thumb Your Nose:

A sign of derision or contempt.  Often accompanied by protrusion of the tongue and/or derisive chanting of nonsensical verbiage such as "nyaa nyaa nyaa nyaa nyaaa".  Origins unknown but believed centuries old British. (Guaranteed to offend minivan driving soccer moms, SUV welding yuppies (usually on a cell phone) and Oscar Grope in his Belch Fire 8 alike.).  Use with caution and prepare for evasive maneuvers immediately following gesture execution. .

STEP 1: Open visor or raise chin bar.  It is imperative that face is exposed

STEP 2: Extend hand at approximately a 90o angle to the body

STEP 3: Extend fingers and separate

STEP 4: Apply thumb to nose

STEP 5: Wiggle fingers repeatedly.  Tongue may be extended to increase emphasis.
